The Dublin Pubcrawlers won by the slimmest of margins, 6 to 5. Jamey Wright(3-8) delivered a fine performance for Dublin. He surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Dyersville threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. Wright got help from John Smoltz who was credited with his 16th save. Jason Schmidt(8-5) ended up with the loss. Jim Aldrich was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this one, we just made one too many mistakes. Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
